Alexandria J. McFarlane is an associate with the firm. Alexandria’s practice includes representing insurers in complex litigation involving first- and third-party coverage disputes with allegations of bad faith and unfair claim settlement practices. Alexandria has experience in all lines of insurance, including commercial general liability, personal lines, life and disability, professional liability, employers’ liability, umbrella, excess and surplus lines policies. Alexandria’s practice also includes recreational/sports litigation as she regularly defends recreational facilities in claims of liability.
Prior to joining Gfeller Laurie, LLP, Alexandria was an associate at a national law firm working on a wide range of matters involving product liability, construction, personal injury/wrongful death and employment law. Alexandria is a member of the Connecticut and Rhode Island Bar Associations as well as several other professional associations relevant to her practice.
Prior to completing her law degree, Alexandria was a Claim Representative for a top rated insurance company where she conducted and managed claim investigations, negotiated settlements and analyzed coverage issues. This experience provides Alexandria with additional insight when representing insurers with respect to coverage disputes.
Alexandria is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. During law school, Alexandria interned with the Attorney General’s Office and for the Honorable Victor A. Bolden at the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She also was a Senior Articles Editor for the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal.
