Shawn is a seasoned litigator with a diverse legal career and extensive litigation and trial experience representing large and small companies, including national and international corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and not-for-profit organizations along with their respective officers and boards of directors. Shawn Cestaro began his career with several Fortune 500 in-house law departments where he became highly experienced in corporate commodities transactions, contract law and disputes, UCC provisions, Federal and New York State regulations, and corporate compliance. He then became associated with several outside counsel law firms where he handled numerous insurance defense matters involving such varied areas of law as general negligence, premise liability, motor vehicle, intellectual property, toxic tort, declaratory judgment actions, and New York State’s Labor Law and construction litigation. In this regard, Shawn Cestaro has personally defended the insureds of numerous insurance providers amongst working with various third-party administrators.
Shawn received dual degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Temple University in 1996, and his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2000. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and United States Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
