Layth K. Abu-Sitteh is an associate in the firm’s Connecticut office and focuses his practice on insurance defense and coverage litigation.
Layth is an experienced attorney, having handled matters involving commercial trucking and transportation, construction, municipalities, catastrophic injury, insurance coverage and declaratory actions, defamation, and premises liability. He has successfully argued dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment following a rear end accident, motions to strike claims for statutory and common law recklessness, and motions to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction. Layth has also prepared and deposed expert witnesses for matters involving disputed liability and medical causation.
When Layth is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and their pet, “Sproodle”. His hobbies include soccer, volleyball, and trivia.

- Appeared before the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and successfully brought the case to resolution in favor of municipalities.
- Successfully provided comprehensive legal support from pre-litigation through settlement or trial in claims involving traumatic brain injury (TBI) and cognitive impairment.
- Consulted accident reconstruction specialists for serious injuries including individuals suffering from paralysis, total disability, and spinal surgery.
- Deposed and prepared health care professionals in numerous motor vehicle and premises liability cases.
- Defended contractors and subcontractors in complex litigation matters including construction design defects, negligence, and breach of contract.
