Attorney Olivia C. Tawa Elevated to Partner Effective January 1, 2025

Gfeller Laurie LLP is pleased to announce that Olivia C. Tawa has been elevated to partner effective January 1, 2025.

According to founding partner Charlie Gfeller, Olivia has been the prototypical associate since she joined us directly out of law school – she is smart, ethical, hardworking, dedicated to our clients, and most importantly – she’s a great person. Bob Laurie, the firm’s other founding partner, added that Olivia has set an example for all of our associates and we are thrilled to make her a partner. She is an important success story within our firm.

Olivia focuses her law practice in recreational/sports litigation and defends recreational facilities across the country in claims of liability. She also regularly represents condominium associations, property management companies, retail stores, other commercial establishments, small business owners, non-profit organizations, community outreach organizations, group homes, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, assisted living facilities, and homeless shelters in civil litigation involving claims of personal injury.

Olivia joined the firm in 2017, following her graduation from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor for the Connecticut Law Review and as a teaching assistant. She also attended Bates College, where she was a member of the Varsity Swim Team. Olivia splits her time between the firm’s offices in West Hartford, CT and Boston, MA.
