Banking Legislative Update – 2017

News

The 2017 Connecticut General Assembly legislative session closed with major pieces of legislation still outstanding. However, the General Assembly and Governor’s office have enacted a total of 59 Public Acts as of this morning. A few of those Acts relate to the Banking and Financial Services industries in some way or another. GL has prepared the attached legislative update which details some of the already enacted Public Acts and recites some of the other bills proposed which did not pass this legislative session.

As this situation is fluid and additional Acts are expected to be signed into law over the next few days and weeks, we will continue to transmit additional updates of noteworthy legislation as it becomes enacted. Click here for the legislative update.
