Charlie Gfeller & Mark Seiger recently spoke at the Self Insurance Institute of America’s International Conference, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Their talk was entitled “Understanding the United States Legal System and Managing Risk — A Guide for Manufacturers and Product Distributors.” Charlie compared and contrasted the legal systems of the United States, the European Union, and Canada, utilizing product liability law as the subject matter. Mark then discussed risk management principles applicable to both product manufacturers and business more generally.
