The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma was founded in 2008 by NASCAR team owner, Richard Childress, and his wife, Judy. The mission of the Childress Institute is to discover and share the best ways to prevent and treat severe injuries in children. The priorities of the Childress Institute include improving care for children following traumatic injury and reducing the incidence of head injuries in children, through both ground-breaking research and advanced care.
