Connecticut Governor Selects a New Insurance Commissioner
Yesterday, Connecticut’s Governor Dan Malloy announced his appointment of a new Insurance Commissioner: Mr. Thomas B. Leonardi. Leonardi is currently, Chairman and CEO of Northington Partners, an insurance specialty venture capital and investment firm based in Avon, Connecticut. He will replace Thomas Sullivan who resigned in November amidst a heated controversy over his office’s approval of rate increases for new Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield policies. Following his resignation, Sullivan joined PwC (formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers) as a partner.
