Gene Simmons, KISS and . . . Life Insurance?

Blogs, Life Insurance

The Wall Street Journal reports on Gene Simmons, of the rock band KISS (as well as other ventures, including a reality television show) and his involvement in a “gig” selling life insurance. The report, here, is that Simmons and others have started Cool Springs Life Equity Strategy in Franklin, Tenn., which is designed to “tap into a lucrative demographic: entertainers, sports stars and other people with a net worth of $20 million or more who need a life-insurance policy of $10 million or greater” – and does so via a loan for the buyer to cover the premiums. Just how that loan would work, though, is drawing attention – including speculation about the involvement of life settlements companies and similar potential investors.
