Mark D. Shifton has been accepted as a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. The New Jersey chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council strives to be New Jersey’s foremost leader promoting, advocating, and providing education for the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of high performance buildings and communities that are environmentally responsible, cost effective, productive, and healthy places to live, learn and work. The U.S. Green Building Council is a non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in how buildings are designed, built, and operated. The U.S. Green Building Council is known for the development of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system.
