Mark Shifton and Mila Shtelmakher Publish Article on Construction Defect Insurance Coverage

Mark D. Shifton and Mila Shtelmakher recently co-authored an article for Volume 20, Issue 3 of The Critical Path, a newsletter published by the Defense Research Institute’s Construction Law Committee. Mark and Mila’s article, titled Cypress Point Redux – New Jersey Supreme Court Holds Developer’s CGL Policy Covers Condominium Association’s Consequential Damages Caused by Water Infiltration examines the recent New Jersey Supreme Court case of Cypress Point Condo. Assoc., Inc. v. Adria Towers, L.L.C., 143 A.3d 273, 226 N.J. 403 (2016).

Mark is a Partner in the Princeton, New Jersey, and New York City offices of Gfeller Laurie LLP, where he represents owners, design professionals, and contractors in construction disputes, and advises and represents clients on sustainable development and “green” building issues. Mila is an Associate in the Princeton, New Jersey, and New York City offices of Gfeller Laurie LLP, where she represents contractors and design professionals in construction defect cases, as well as other professionals (from home inspectors to healthcare professionals) in professional liability claims.
