Mark Shifton Publishes Article on New Jersey’s Statute of Repose
GL Partner Mark D. Shifton recently authored an article for the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Product Liability and Mass Tort’s newsletter. Mark’s article, No Repose for Building Product Manufacturers, discusses New Jersey’s statute of repose, which operates to bar claims against contractors and design professionals relating to improvements to real property, but affords no such protections to the manufacturers of building products installed in such buildings.
Mark is a Partner in the Princeton, New Jersey, and New York City offices of Gfeller Laurie LLP, where he represents owners, design professionals, and contractors in construction disputes, and advises and represents clients on sustainable development and “green” building issues. Mark is a former Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Product Liability and Mass Tort Section.
